Description
Situated in the far north, the Dan river is full with refreshingly cool water all year round which flows into the Jordan river and on into the kinneret
Tel Dan is situated at the site of the ancient Canaanite city of layish which was captured by the tribe of Dan and renamed Dan.
At the place you can choose to either watch the raging water flowing by, or choose to get wet and splash in the refreshingly (some would say too) cool water.
Tel Dan is perfect for people of all ages and does not require any serious hiking. There are also plenty of picnic tables.
make sure to bring along a bathing suit!
It's an official nature reserve with parking, a visitors center, and an admission fee the price is 28 NIS for adults and 14 for kids or free if you have a pass
Getting thereTake the 90 north all the way passed kiryat shmona then turn right on to rout 99 towards the chermon and Golan follow it until you get to the park it's a 3 hour drive from Jerusalem.
