Description

Atlit was a British detention camp where they kept the "maapilim" before the establishment of the state, this is a great place for all history lovers out there.

The tour will include seeing the actual barracks and watching a movie on a ship describing the story of the "maapilim"

​

They have tours in both English and Hebrew, but take into account that your Hebrew may be better then their English.

admission is 32 NIS for adults and 27 NIS for kids

Getting there

Head north on the 2 until you reach you destination, it's right passed the town of atlit and before Haifa.

from Jerusalem it's an hour and 40 minutes.
