AVDAT

Description

Explore the ruins of this ancient nabatean city which was an important stop along the incense route which carried spices and perfumes across the arabian desert and across the ocean to europe.

The nabateans lived thousands of years ago and their capital city was in petra.

At the site you'll see authentic ruins that could rival those in rome.

Honestly it's not a must see and i wouldn't come special for this but it's a good place to visit if you're in the area especially if you  have a pass (which we highly recommend).

Avdat is an official national park and unless you have a pass admission is        ₪ 28.00 for adults and ₪ 14.00 for kids.

Getting there

Take the 6 south (it's free) to the 40 follow it to your destination.

Don't confuse it with ein avdat which is a different place that you should visit.

Travel time is 1 hour 50 minutes.
