ARBEL

Description

Hands down this is one of the best hikes in Israel!

A monumental cliff towers above the kinneret offering breathtaking  views of the surrounding areas!

The hike includes difficult ladders and an option to explore some ancient fortresses with a remaining synagogue.

Come with good hiking shoes and plenty of water- the entire hike is difficult  and takes over 2 hours but you can also choose to just walk around the rim for the incredible Kineret views.

We did find some shady rocks to sit on and rest along the trail.

Arbel is an official national park that charges an admissions fee of 22NIS per adult and 9 NIS per kid and free if you get a pass.

Getting there

Take the 6 north to the 77, right before tveria make a left on to rout 7717
