EINOT TZUKIM

Description

Einot tzukim is a great hike to do if you want something close to jerusalem and don't want to travel too far.

The hike involves climbing a steep mountainside to the peak and then coming back down. the scenery of the dead sea is worthy of a postcard.

The climbing is hard and there are plenty of great lookout points along the way, since you'll have to come back down the same way you went up anyway, you can stop anywhere along the way if it gets too hard for some of you.

The hike is free it's about a half hour away and shouldn't take you more then an hour.

It can get unbearably hot in the summer so try to come in winter or at the end of the day.

Another advantage is that there is a bus stop at einot tzukim so people without a car can come here too.

To get to einnot tzukim take the 1 east to the 90 south ein gedi  along the dead sea soon after kalya beach and kumran you'll see a sign that says einot tzukim by a bus stop on  your right, there is a national park sign on the left side.

There is a very small area to park on the side of the road.

if coming by bus to einot tzukim, take the 486 and get off at ein fashcha stop
