Also Akko is a great place to go you can visit the ramchal shul the jail and the Tunisian mosaic shul, Also you can check out the Arab shuk which is similar to the one in the old city of Jerusalem only a lot safer.

Akko also has an ancient wall from the time of the crusades and you can jump off it into the ocean if you dare!

 

 

Getting there

 

Head north on the 6 and 70 exit to 79 towards Akko, krayot take 22 and 4 to 8501 Akko

distance from Jerusalem is under 2 hours (via highway 6)

 

 

Information

 

There are plenty of boat companies at the Akko marina, you may need to negotiate the price but you should be able to get a ride for under 20 NIS which is significantly cheaper then other places in th country.

Our favorite one is the last boat in the marina.
